Our customers include independent opticians, multiple chains of opticians and spectacle repair companies, optical prescription houses, plus increasingly the retail market. Coates is also proud to supply major film studios with precision items for the sets of ‘Wallace & Grommet' and ‘Harry Potter’ movies. Our main international markets include USA, France, Germany, and Republic of Ireland.
The wide variety of stock at our Cotswolds head office includes several thousand lines of technical components, machinery and equipment, chemical coatings, low vision aids and sight testing equipment. Only items of the highest quality are stocked but are offered at competitive prices. We also offer optical repairs and technical services but don't market frames and lenses. Over 75% of orders are from regular clients.
Delivery services are personalised for each customer and order. We utilise the most appropriate carrier for each order dependent on size, weight and destination. All UK shipments are despatched the same day for ‘next day’ delivery.
Our recently launched 2008/9 catalogue contains 6 new categories and over 300 new optical lines. Our Sales/Help Line is open 24 hours a day seven days a week.
